Welcome to Team Meitei Personalities (TMP) Manipur. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. Use of the Platform

You must be at least 18 years of age or have legal parental/guardian consent to use this platform. You agree to use our platform only for lawful purposes, including scholarly research, community discussion, and humanitarian coordination. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and all activities occurring under your account.

2. User Content & Intellectual Property

Scholars and members retain copyright over the articles, papers, and research documents they submit. However, by submitting content, you grant TMP Manipur a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, archive, distribute, and display your submissions on the platform for educational, research, and community-driven purposes. You represent that you own or have the necessary licenses/permissions for all content you submit.

3. Billing, Subscriptions, and Refund Policy

Please read this section carefully before making any payments, subscriptions, or donations.

  • No Refunds: All payments made on the TMP Manipur platform — including subscription fees, event registrations, membership contributions, and donations — are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges under any circumstances.
  • Subscription Renewals: Recurring subscriptions are billed automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle (monthly, annually, etc.). You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings.
  • Cancellation: Upon canceling a subscription, you will continue to have access to member benefits until the end of your current paid billing period. No pro-rated refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing cycle.
  • Event Registrations: Registration fees for paid seminars, workshops, and events are non-refundable. If an event is postponed or canceled by the organizers, TMP Manipur will issue event credits or alternative attendance accommodations at its discretion.
  • Donations and Relief Funds: Voluntary donations and contributions to humanitarian relief initiatives are immediately allocated to relief supplies, food distribution, and community support. Therefore, these payments are strictly non-refundable.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

  • Hate speech, harassment, defamation, or targeting of individuals or groups in Manipur or elsewhere
  • Sharing inaccurate or false historical, socio-economic, or conflict-related information designed to mislead the public
  • Attempting to compromise the security, infrastructure, or database of the platform
  • Using automated systems (bots, scrapers) to collect content from the website without our explicit permission

5. Termination of Accounts

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our terms of service, engage in harassment, or attempt to disrupt platform services. In such cases, no refund of active subscriptions or memberships will be provided.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform, including its digital archives, research documents, and articles, is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to verify scholarly and historical content, TMP Manipur does not warrant the absolute accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information hosted on the platform.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TMP Manipur, its organizers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising out of the use of this platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Imphal, Manipur.
